About Us

Kelly von Schmid is the Founder and Managing Partner of Voncor Capital, a private credit firm specializing in commercial real estate investments across the Eastern and Southern United States.

With a track record of originating over $1.3 billion in commercial real estate debt, Kelly brings deep expertise in structuring complex financing solutions. Prior to founding Voncor Capital, she served as an Originator for J.P. Morgan Asset Management's Private Credit platform, where she focused on institutional lending strategies. Earlier in her career, Kelly originated loans and built key depository relationships at PNC Bank (formerly BBVA Compass), laying the foundation for her expertise in both banking and private credit.

Kelly earned her undergraduate degree from The University of Alabama and master's in Real Estate from New York University. 

Lauren is a practicing attorney and is admitted to the Texas and Florida bars. She has been voted by her peers as a Super Lawyers Texas Rising Star Real Estate Attorney every year since 2017. Lauren earned her undergraduate degree from Southern Methodist University's Cox School of Business and subsequently graduated Magna Cum Laude from SMU's Dedman School of Law.

Lauren has experience advising on transactions in over 20 states and has owned and operated businesses in Texas, Florida, California, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. 

Ronald Russell is a seasoned financial executive with over 20 years of leadership experience in accounting, operations, and real estate development. He graduated from the University of South Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a minor in Finance in 1992, earning his CPA certification the following year while working at Deloitte & Touche.

Throughout his career, Ronald has served as Corporate Controller for regional divisions of two publicly traded manufacturing companies and has led financial operations for multiple firms specializing in real estate acquisition, entitlement, development, and construction.

He currently serves as Corporate Controller for Corr Group, a Voncor Capital affiliate. His deep operational expertise, financial discipline, and hands-on leadership have been instrumental in driving sustainable growth and corporate governance.

 Stephanie is an accomplished marketing and property management professional with a strong record of elevating brand visibility and optimizing asset performance. A graduate of the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, she brings deep expertise in strategic brand development, market positioning, and tenant engagement.

Blending traditional and digital marketing strategies, Stephanie excels at increasing property value, driving occupancy, and delivering measurable growth. 

Bryan is based in Florida and provides business development expertise to the venture and Corr Group. He is also the owner and founder of Corr Group Agency.  Bryan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from The University of Alabama and a Master of Accountancy from The University of Denver.  He has previously held designations as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA).
